Even after the pending layoffs at Microsoft, the company did have some good news to present as the Xbox One sales have more than doubled from May to June.
The sales figures are no doubt due to the price drop and removal of the Kinect bringing the console to competition with its competitor, PS4, at just $399. "Since the new Xbox One offering launched on June 9th, we've seen sales of Xbox One more than double in the US, compared to sales in May," stated a staff member on Xbox Wire.
Originally trailing quite bit to Sony's new console, Xbox One's price reduction certainly made a huge difference in closing the gap. With new indie games and big hitters like Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Sunset Overdrive, the future looks bright for the giant even when things look dark now.
