Amy Hennig Joins Visceral Games on Star Wars Project

Amy Hennig has officially joined Visceral Games and EA as Creative Director on their Star Wars project.

The news was made public this morning as Vice President and General Manager Steve Papoutsis on EA's blog. "I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Amy Hennig to our team at Visceral Games and EA as Creative Director on our Star Wars project." He later went on to describe her as one of the top visionaries in the gaming industry and his excitement to work with her. Papoutsis and Henning worked together years ago at Crystal Dynamics when Hennig spent many years on The Legacy of Kain series. "As both a colleague and friend, I’ve always admired her approach to creative development – focusing on nailing down the soul of a game first, and then making sure the writing, the gameplay, the design and the art comes together to form a unified, interactive experience for the player."

Hennig recently departed Naughty Dog in the beginning of March in what some feel may have been forced during Uncharted 4's development. Later, director Justin Richmond also departed the project.
