Microsoft has reported that over 5 million Xbox Ones have been shipped since its launch at the end of November.
On their Xbox News blog, Corporate Vice President of Marketing Yusuf Mehdi reported that "more than 5 million Xbox One consoles have been sold-in to retailers since our launch." The big word to notice is "sold-in" meaning that although that many units have been shipped to retailers around the world, those numbers do not exactly equate to units sold to customers.
Also announced were the stats that Titanfall was the best selling game of March 2014 beating out its largest competition with the PS4 exclusive Infamous: Second Son. Although numbers are strong for Xbox One, they are still trailing the PS4 "sold-through" numbers directly to customers with Sony announcing today it has sold over 7 million units.
