So you missed out on getting a shiny new PlayStation 4 and keep hearing how awesome they are from your friends? Well it seems you may have to wait a little longer as droughts are expected to continue until April.
After selling 5.3 million copies in its first 90 days or so on the market, the PS4 is still flying off of shelves faster than Sony can build them. After launching in Japan just hours ago, PlayStation UK and Ireland executive Fergal Gara stated that "it is going to be tricky until around about April," and they expect to be "back to free supply by about April" in an interview with MCV.
Sony has been moving forward incredibly strong in sales over the past couple of months dominating Microsoft in most territories even with the Xbox One's strong sales numbers.
