So after a week of rumors from various sources, Infinity Ward's Mark Rubin has verified that COD: Ghosts runs native 1080p on PS4 with the Xbox One upscaling from 720p.
Rubin took to TwitLonger to say, "Hey, been on the road last couple weeks so haven’t had a chance to update, but wanted to confirm that for Xbox One we’re 1080p upscaled from 720p. And, we’re native 1080p on PS4. We optimized each console to hit 60 FPS and the game looks great on both." Although this may sound disappointing to some, the average consumer can hardly tell the difference between 720p and 1080p at first glance.
Will this tid-bit of information sway buyers towards the PS4? We won't know until we see the numbers, but the internet sure is upset about it.
